In January 2017 we decided to sell our house in Melbourne and move to be closer to our daughters in Sydney and Brisbane. We realised, because of the distance, what a daunting task it was likely to be, to find and purchase a house, in a short time frame, in our preferred location of the Southern Highlands.
During our first visit to the area in early February to look for and inspect properties by ourselves we had arranged to meet with Suzi Bryant of Highlands Arrivals to discuss how she might be able to help us to find and purchase the right house for us.
Our first impression of Suzi was that she is passionate about what she does and that she had an excellent knowledge of the Southern Highlands real estate scene. And after she outlined the services that she could provide us with to find and purchase a house within our very short time frame of three months, we decided to engage Highlands Arrivals as our Buyer’s Agent.
At the outset we developed and agreed our “house search requirements” with Highlands Arrivals and once this was done Suzi, very proactively and energetically began the search for our new home.
We were provided with detailed reports of potentially suitable properties after Suzi had inspected them and as a result came up with a shortlist of sixteen houses that we could inspect over a three day period in early April. Suzi arranged and accompanied us on these inspections and assisted us with negotiations with the various Real Estate Agents.
This was a surprisingly productive journey from Melbourne for us as we found our ideal property well within in our required time frame of three months, made an offer, negotiated it with Suzi as an intermediary, and had it accepted.
And this was far from the end of the process. Suzi continued to work proactively with us, with the Legal firm that she had referred us to, and with the Real Estate Agent until settlement and our taking possession of and moving into our new home.
